Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) is garbage that can consist of product packaging, grass clippings, furniture, clothing, food scraps, newspapers, bottles, appliances, paint, batteries and more. The US produces the most MSW in the world. Most of this garbage is land-filled but some if can be reused to create electricity and fuel or recycled into other products.
